Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cody Wyldin (ranked 2653 p4p, 2930 weight class) and Arman Sakkara (ranked 344 p4p, 382 weight class). Arman Sakkara has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Cody Wyldin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Arman Sakkara!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sakkara gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Wyldin to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Sakkara is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wyldin is controlling him.
Wyldin trying to control the position from guard on top but Sakkara is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sakkara has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Sakkara wants to get back to his feet but Wyldin is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Wyldin preventing the sweep.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sakkara keeping moving, preventing Wyldin from controlling successfully.
Wyldin working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Wyldin has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Sakkara is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wyldin is controlling him.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Sakkara tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sakkara tries to close the distance and clinch but Wyldin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sakkara looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Sakkara takes the fight into the clinch.
Wyldin tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Sakkara just stands there and leans against the cage.
Wyldin tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sakkara smiles and moves away.

Wyldin moves out of range of the body kick.
Wyldin blocks a head kick by Sakkara.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Sakkara rushes Wyldin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Sakkara's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A telegraphed right hand from Wyldin misses the target.
Sakkara tries to clinch up but Wyldin circles away and keeps his distance.
Wyldin appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Sakkara rushes Wyldin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Sakkara lands a good knee to the midsection. Wyldin won't want to take too many of those.
Wyldin has Sakkara pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sakkara manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cody Wyldin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sakkara creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Wyldin's defenses.

Wyldin wants the takedown. Sakkara is fighting it off but Wyldin persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Sakkara's guard against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sakkara wants to stand and escape but Wyldin is having none of it.
Wyldin stands up over Sakkara, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Wyldin is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sakkara can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Wyldin's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Wyldin controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Sakkara is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Wyldin won't allow Sakkara to get back to his feet.

Wyldin lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Sakkara really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wyldin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sakkara is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wyldin is controlling him.

Wyldin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Wyldin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Sakkara takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Cody Wyldin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wyldin slips a jab and a cross from Sakkara.
Horrible takedown attempt by Wyldin or perhaps it was just good defense by Sakkara, which made it look bad.
Wyldin has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sakkara.

Wyldin is nestled in close to Sakkara, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Sakkara is rocked!
Wyldin lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Sakkara quite badly. Sakkara pulls Wyldin in close trying to recover. Wyldin postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Sakkara on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Sakkara doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cody Wyldin!
