Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jimmy Diaz! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ghotha blocks a jab. Ghotha changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Diaz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Diaz can't do much from the bottom here. Diaz is looking to reverse the position. Ghotha is putting a hurting on Diaz here, landing some big shots from side control. You can see the frustration on Diaz's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ghotha can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ghotha landing some decent shots from guard. Ghoul Ghotha dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ghotha fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ghoul Ghotha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ghotha looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Diaz misses with a two punch combination.
Diaz gets in close and instigates a clinch. Diaz has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ghotha is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Ghotha changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Diaz fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ghoul Ghotha. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ghotha displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Diaz throws out the jab. Diaz shoots in for a double leg but Ghotha sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz misses with a wild combination.

Diaz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Ghotha is not content to let Diaz control the position. Diaz is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Ghotha is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Diaz's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Diaz trying to mount his opponent but Ghotha defends it. Ghotha tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Diaz tries to stand and escape but Ghotha is controlling the position. Diaz is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Diaz lands a big shot there that rocks Ghotha but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Ghotha is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Ghotha is squirming around, avoiding Diaz's attempts to control the action. Jimmy Diaz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Ghotha gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Diaz counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Diaz looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ghotha with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Diaz is trying to control the action in half guard but Ghotha is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ghotha is in trouble now - Diaz has advanced to mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ghotha will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Diaz. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Diaz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ghotha defends well. Diaz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. And that's the end of the fight! Jimmy Diaz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Diaz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
