Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bird shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Stein Jr counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Stein Jr keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Stein Jr steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Bird digs a good body shot into Stein Jr's ribs.
Bird closes the distance and clinches.
Stein Jr tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

It looks like Larry Bird has been cut.
Stein Jr prevents the takedown attempt.

Bird tries to score a body lock takedown but Stein Jr shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Larry Bird. That's going to take a lot out of him.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stein Jr pushes Bird back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Stein Jr has Bird pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Bird is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Stein Jr - that's hurt Bird badly! Oh, another knee lands and Bird is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Bird doesn't seem to be complaining.
