Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, David Snake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Clyde Jipper!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snake stuffs the takedown attempt from Jipper. Jipper gets slowly back to his feet.
Jipper shoots in looking for a takedown. Snake tries to sprawl out of it but Jipper keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Snake manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Snake throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Snake could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Snake swings for the body but Jipper moves out of range.
Jipper showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Snake.
Jipper steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Snake.

Jipper gets a takedown into half guard.
Jipper landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Snake trying to control but Jipper postures up.
Jipper blocks the strikes from Snake.
Jipper has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Snake gets full guard.
Jipper throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Snake works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Jipper stopping the sweep attempt from Snake.
Snake striking off his back but it's not causing Jipper any problems.
Snake throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Snake keeping full guard, as Jipper tries to pass.
Snake knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jipper on the ground.
Snake is trying to control the position but Jipper postures up.
Jipper is stalling in the full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Snake doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Jipper keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Snake scores with a kick to the body.
Jipper is trying hard to land a takedown here. Snake sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
David Snake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clyde Jipper.

Jipper has closed the distance and engaged Snake in a clinch.
Jipper tries for a takedown. No joy.
A nice left hand lands by Snake.
Snake prevents the takedown attempt.
Jipper looks winded!

Snake turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Snake manages to end up in side control.
Snake is putting a hurting on Jipper here, landing some big shots from side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jipper is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Snake's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Jipper is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Snake jumps into side control!
The strikes coming from Snake are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Jipper is trying to work for a sweep but Snake has mounted him!

Snake is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jipper can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Snake is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jipper is surviving well by controlling Snake's body position as best he can.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Snake looking to ground and pound but Jipper is blocking nicely.
Snake prevents Jipper from getting the reversal.
Snake landing strikes from the mount and Jipper is in trouble!
The referee warns Jipper that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Snake is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jipper can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Snake throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

David Snake dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Snake throws a quick head kick that knocks Jipper silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Snake is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). David Snake!
