Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mike Ziegler (ranked 750 p4p, 1498 weight class) and Aljamain Sterling (ranked 56 p4p, 95 weight class). Sterling has chosen I Love as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aljamain Sterling!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Viktor Lagutenko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ziegler throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Sterling shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ziegler pinned against the cage. Ziegler gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A good leg kick by Ziegler.
Sterling fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Sterling shoots for a takedown but Ziegler saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mike Ziegler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aljamain Sterling.
No luck for Sterling with that takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sterling tries to move into range but Ziegler moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Mike Ziegler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ziegler keeps Sterling at a distance using the push kick.
Ziegler pounces like a tiger and cracks Sterling with a vicious hook! Sterling is down but not out! Ziegler follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

In defeat, Aljamain Sterling stepped up to the mic, saying 'Whether it's Bellator, OneFC, World Series, whatever, the door's open for me. Financial stability is the most important thing for me'.
