These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Bruno Lombardi and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDavid misses with a double jab
and Mies counters with a straight right hand.
Mies avoids the body shot from McDavid.
It looked like Mies was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Mies fails to land with a series of punches.
McDavid on the wrong end of a nice hook.
McDavid throws a right and a left that both miss.
Mies moves into the clinch successfully.
Mies is pushing McDavid up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
McDavid manages to break the clinch.
Mies drops McDavid with a beautiful combination! McDavid stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Mies is looking for the KO!
McDavid is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mies sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through McDavid's defenses. It connects perfectly with McDavid's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
