The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Narushima lands a nice leg kick that just misses Vilkas's sensitive parts.
Deividas Vilkas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vilkas throws a leg kick but Narushima moved away.
Narushima throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Narushima has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Narushima ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vilkas moves away.
Narushima tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Vilkas was well out of range. Poor timing from Narushima .
Narushima fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Vilkas has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Vilkas takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Narushima throws a sloppy head kick and Vilkas moves out of range easily.
Vilkas seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Vilkas will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.

Narushima pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Vilkas lands a front kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Vilkas. Narushima does a little dance to reset his feet.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Vilkas pushes Narushima up against the cage in a clinch.

Narushima escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Narushima throws a wild body kick that Vilkas sees coming a mile off.
Narushima goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Vilkas swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Vilkas lands with a thumping leg kick.
Narushima thuds his shin into the meat of Vilkas's side.
Vilkas walks forward, straight into a front kick from Narushima .
Narushima has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Narushima drops Vilkas with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Vilkas looks back up at him and smiles so Narushima waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Vilkas gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Narushima gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
