Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justice Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matheus Almeida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Almeida comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Inner Circle - Bad Boys kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Matheus Almeida has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Almeida. Almeida gets slowly back to his feet.
Left hook, right uppercut from Jones.
Almeida fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Almeida shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Almeida's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Justice Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matheus Almeida.
Nice takedown defense from Almeida. No joy for Jones on that attempt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Jones counters with a single leg into guard. Almeida didn't expect that.

Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Jones would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Jones wants to stand but Almeida has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jones is looking to work some ground and pound but Almeida has wrist control.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Almeida might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jones kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Jones distracts Almeida with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Jones stands up over Almeida, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Almeida looking for a guillotine here but Jones defends easily.
Almeida is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Jones has his hands clasped together but Almeida extends an breaks Jones's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Almeida.
