Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Baki Hanma!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Wesley Silva!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva circles away from the clinch attempt
and Silva makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Silva lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Hanma misses with a takedown
and Silva counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Hanma gets a double leg takedown into Silva's guard.
Hanma passes Silva's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Silva trying to control but Hanma postures up.
Hanma is trying to control the action in half guard but Silva is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva is trying to maintain the position but Hanma is very close to passing his half guard.
Hanma trying to control the pace.
Hanma moves nicely into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hanma cracks Silva with a big right hand but Silva just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Silva is looking for a sweep.
Silva being controlled for a moment.
Hanma seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Silva for as long as he can get away with.
Silva is working to avoid the ground and pound but Hanma connects with a decent elbow.
Hanma passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Silva!
Hanma has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Silva's face.
Silva is trying to escape the mount.
Silva is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Hanma raining down hammerfists from mount.
BOOM! Hanma connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Silva is looking to improve his position but Hanma isn't that keen on the idea.

Hanma loads up with a big shot that hurts Silva! He's pulled Hanma in close but Hanma has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Silva survive? More strikes from Hanma and Silva is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!

After winning the bout, Baki Hanma thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
