Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Konstantin Dimakov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Otso Toivonen!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dimakov thows a left - swing and a miss!
Toivonen shoots for a double leg takedown but Dimakov sprawls well. He's pushed Toivonen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Dimakov stuns Toivonen with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Toivonen shoots in and bounces Dimakov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Toivonen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dimakov swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dimakov pushes Toivonen off looking to stand but Toivonen dives back in and keeps control.

Toivonen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Toivonen wants to work for an arm triangle but Dimakov is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Toivonen is looking for a kimura but Dimakov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Toivonen to get the leverage.

Toivonen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dimakov is just riding it out for now. Toivonen eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Toivonen drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Dimakov dives on top into guard.

Dimakov gets to his feet. Toivonen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Horrible takedown attempt by Toivonen or perhaps it was just good defense by Dimakov, which made it look bad.
Toivonen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dimakov tries to avoid it but Toivonen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dimakov to the ground. Dimakov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Dimakov wants to get back to striking at distance but Toivonen won't allow it.

The fighters circle momentarily. Dimakov darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Toivonen has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dimakov dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dimakov. Toivonen does a little dance to reset his feet.
Dimakov lands with a cross.
Donk. Dimakov catches Toivonen right on the button with a cross.

Toivonen is rocked!
Dimakov throws out a loose jab but Toivonen uses good head movement to avoid it.
Toivonen is still on wobbly legs! Can Dimakov finish him?
Toivonen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Dimakov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dimakov cracks Toivonen's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Toivonen slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Dimakov can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Konstantin Dimakov!
