PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thibby Uno (ranked 4680 p4p, 4342 weight class) and Heavy Zak (ranked 206 p4p, 192 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Heavy Zak was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Ben Hemmingworth and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Uno moves into the clinch.
Uno stalls.
Zak being controlled against the cage.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Thibby Uno.
Zak shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Uno as he avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Uno defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Zak.
Uno blocks the body kick.

Zak tries to keep at a distance but Uno has taken the fight into the clinch.
Zak is trying to maintain a safe position but Uno gets an underhook and turns Zak into the cage.
Zak is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Zak tries to pull guard but Uno forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Thibby Uno has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Heavy Zak.

Zak throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Uno blocks it with crossed arms.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Uno takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Uno drives through and clinches with Zak against the cage.

Uno seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Zak unleashes a big counter combination but Uno bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Zak gets tackled into the cage by Uno. Uno maintains the clinch.
Uno stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Uno for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Uno keeps control of Zak as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
The referee is keeping an eye on Uno - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
The referee calls for Uno to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Thibby Uno.

Uno rushes Zak and presses him up against the cage.
Uno effectively controlling the action here.
Come on Uno - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

And that's the end of the fight!
Thibby Uno showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Uno has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
