Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Samson Buddha (ranked 1859 p4p, 2760 weight class) and Peter Smart (ranked 249 p4p, 350 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Samson Buddha! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Peter Smart! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smart walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Smart ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Smart moves forwards but Buddha connects with a nice, crisp jab. Smart fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Smart lands a nice shot that snaps Buddha's head back.
Buddha uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Smart. Smart swings for the body but Buddha moves out of range.
Smart looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Smart misses with a body shot.
Buddha was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Smart shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Smart seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Buddha does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Buddha is in trouble now - Smart has advanced to mount! Smart landing strikes, looking to finish! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buddha in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Smart content just to control the position here. Smart has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Buddha's face.
Smart is landing with some decent strikes but Buddha is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Smart prevents Buddha from getting the reversal. Buddha wants to control but Smart is having none of it. Buddha tries to get back to half guard but can't. Smart lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Smart trying to control but he's not successful this time. Smart landing shots from mount. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Buddha taking shots to the head. Smart sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Buddha can't escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smart is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Buddha can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Smart throwing strikes but Buddha uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Smart missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Buddha is trying to maintain the position but Smart is very close to passing his half guard. Smart working Buddha over with strikes. Smart trying to pass the guard but Buddha defending well. Smart trying to control from half guard but Buddha is working away. Buddha wants to control but Smart is keeping busy.
Smart stalling away here and it's allowed Buddha to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buddha keeping moving, preventing Smart from controlling successfully. Smart got a little sloppy there for a moment and Buddha has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Smart has managed to get both his arms back between Buddha's legs - danger averted. Smart is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Smart trying to control the position from guard on top but Buddha is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Buddha has momentary wrist control but Smart slips an elbow through the middle. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Smart dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Smart tries to clinch up and Buddha counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Buddha looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Buddha misses the jab. Smart avoids the body shot from Buddha.
Smart drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Buddha defends it well. Buddha takes a shot right to the bread basket. Peter Smart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smart connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Smart throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Buddha swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Smart scores with a nice right hand.
Smart fails with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buddha throws a leg kick but Smart sees it coming and moves out of range. A big right from Buddha misses. Smart tries for a takedown but Buddha circles away easily and Smart takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Samson Buddha is winning the standup battle so far. Smart's jab looks to have found its range, popping Buddha under the eye. Smart lands with an overhand left.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters circle momentarily. Smart darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Smart shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Buddha but Buddha pushes him off and we're back to square one. Samson Buddha has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Smart. Buddha lands a jab to Smart's midsection. Buddha shoots in looking for a takedown. Smart tries to sprawl out of it but Buddha keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smart manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Smart blocks a jab. Smart steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Buddha. That one must have hurt. Smart tries to land a leg kick but Buddha saw it coming and moves away.
A head kick misses from Buddha. Smart is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Buddha's half guard. Smart is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Smart connects with a nice short shot to Buddha's temple.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smart looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Buddha with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. This has been an exciting period of action! Smart tries to pass to full mount but Buddha defends it. Buddha actively working from the bottom here. Smart landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Smart slips a nice elbow through Buddha's hands, connecting with Buddha's forehead. Buddha on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Buddha wants to control but Smart is keeping busy.

Smart wants to take a breather but Buddha is having none of it. Buddha keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Buddha on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Buddha is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Smart is tapping! Great win for Buddha!
