Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jaimie Hopson (ranked 915 p4p, 2632 weight class) and Matto Hyrra (ranked 122 p4p, 338 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hyrra's choice of entrance music: Etta - Perus . Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jaimie Hopson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Matto Hyrra! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hyrra doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hopson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hyrra closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hyrra looking for a takedown. A quick uppercut on the inside from Hopson. Hopson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Hyrra fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jaimie Hopson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matto Hyrra. Hyrra has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hopson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Hopson misses with the head strike.
Hyrra fails to pull the fight into his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hopson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hyrra.
Hyrra is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Hopson is defending well.

Hyrra has Hopson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hopson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Hyrra fails to pull guard.
Hyrra wants to take the fight to the mat but Hopson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Hopson lands a nice uppercut. Hyrra is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hopson pulls him back up using the underhooks. Hyrra wants a takedown.

Hyrra goes for a takedown attempt but Hopson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Hopson scores with a nice head shot. Hopson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Hopson connects with a single shot there. Hopson scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Hopson scores with a nice strike. Hopson throws a jab when Hyrra was well out of range. Hyrra misses with an uppercut. Hopson saw that one coming.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A jab from Hopson finds it's way through Hyrra's defenses. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hopson darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Hyrra fails with the takedown and Hopson counters with a nice uppercut. Hyrra doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Hopson to counter with a crisp jab. Hopson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Hopson loads up on a big right hand but Hyrra slips the punch. Hyrra shoots and misses and Hopson counters with a straight right hand. Hopson throws a shot from downtown. Hyrra moves away and avoids it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jaimie Hopson dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Hopson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hyrra sees it coming and avoids it easily. Hyrra changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Hyrra bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Hyrra misses with a takedown and Hopson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Hyrra closes the distance and clinches up with Hopson, looking for a takedown. Hyrra pushes Hopson against the cage but Hopson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. It looked like Hopson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. A swing and a miss from Hopson. Hyrra with a poor takedown and Hopson counters with a lovely straight right hand! Jaimie Hopson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matto Hyrra. Hopson stalks Hyrra and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hyrra's face. Hyrra staggers backwards, shaken. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Good shot there by Hopson.
Hyrra is rocked! Hyrra displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hopson throws out the jab. Hopson cracks Hyrra with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Hyrra falls to his knees and Hopson doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jaimie Hopson! An intense looking Jaimie Hopson took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Oi gimme that fucking mic! Romero! Someone point the fatty out in the crowd to me, where is he ? THERE HE IS! Romero you fat fuck! Meet me in the fucking cage so i can break your face. *Jumps fence and launches himself at Romero's team*'. Matto Hyrra spoke after the fight, saying 'Ill be back'.
