Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jaxen Christ!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Draco Leonidas!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonidas closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Christ connects with a good right hand that stumbles Leonidas. Leonidas circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Christ pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Christ on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Christ tries to break the clinch but Leonidas is controlling the position.
Leonidas lands a left hand that snaps the head of Christ backwards.

Christ is trying to push Leonidas away but Leonidas has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Christ is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Leonidas bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Leonidas's corner calls for a 1-2. Leonidas obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Christ feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Leonidass jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Christ wants to stand but Leonidas has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Christ trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Leonidas had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Christ defends it easily.
Christ wants to get up but he can't break Leonidas's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Leonidas has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Leonidas is trying to keep Christ in close.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Christ uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Leonidas.

and Leonidas counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Christ thinking.

enabling Leonidas to counter with a crisp jab.
Leonidas throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Leonidas is trying to counter with his kicks.

An inside leg kick lands from Leonidas.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Christ crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Leonidas - the referee stops the clock and Christ gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Leonidas. Christ manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Christ manages to break the clinch.
Christ lands a nice hook to Leonidas's body. Leonidas takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Leonidas tries to counter with a clinch but Christ shakes him off and moves away.

and Leonidas makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Christ really felt that one!
Christ takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

and Christ counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Christ takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Christ throws the left hand but Leonidas avoids the punch easily.

Leonidas closes the distance and pushes Christ back into the cage.
Leonidas lands a nice uppercut.
Leonidas misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Christ blocking some punches.

Leonidas gets control of Christ's arms and successfully pulls guard. Leonidas will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Leonidas is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Christ defends well.
Christ has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Leonidas is proving hard to escape from.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Draco Leonidas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Christ wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Leonidas's closed guard. He's half up but Leonidas has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Leonidas pivots and extends the arm, Christ falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Leonidas! Well done that man!
