Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rufus Globe (ranked 4702 p4p, 5635 weight class) and Patrick Adderley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rufus Globe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Patrick Adderley!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Globe takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Adderley is looking to clinch but Globe is avoiding it.
A right-left combo lands from Adderley.

Adderley bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Adderley tries to stand but Globe is controlling his head.
Adderley wants to control but Globe is keeping him busy.
Globe tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Adderley wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Globe sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Globe is pressing down on Adderley's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Globe manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Adderley manages to get himself to full guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Globe is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Globe sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Adderley's guard.

Adderley tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Globe manages to move to mount!
Adderley takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Globe cracks Adderley with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Globe is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Globe raining down shots from the mount!
Globe lands a couple of good shots and Adderley has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Adderley is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Globe off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Globe lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Adderley covers up after that shot from Globe.
Adderley tries to roll but Globe sticks to his back.
Globe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Adderley staying busy and making it hard for Globe to control.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Globe.
Adderley is taking damage to the body and head.

Globe is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Adderley. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
What can Adderley do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
You can see the frustration on Adderley's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Globe lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Globe lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Globe wants to control but Adderley is keeping busy.
Globe loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Adderley hold on?
Adderley grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.

Adderley is rocked!
Adderley tries to escape but Globe has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Globe throwing damaging strikes from the back! Adderley could be in trouble here!
Adderley is still in real trouble! Can Globe finish him?

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Globe is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Globe is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Globe gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Globe gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Globe apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Adderley looks winded!

Globe closes the distance looking for a takedown. Adderley stuffs it but Globe still has hold of him. Globe picks Adderley up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Globe slams Adderley to the floor and that's really hurt Adderley - he doesn't know where he is! Globe throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rufus Globe!
