PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ron Jeremy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and georges Rush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rush has chosen Gsp´s Entrance as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ron Jeremy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, georges Rush!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jonathan Paton and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jeremy's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Jeremy duly obliges.

Jeremy scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Jeremy working away.
Rush takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Jeremy has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Jeremy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Rush looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Jeremy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jeremy is not going to allow Rush to sit and survive in this position.
Jeremy trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Rush doesn't escape.

Jeremy is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Rush has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rush trying to control but not successfully.

Jeremy is hanging on to Rush's back as he tries to escape.
Rush is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Jeremy cracks Rush with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Rush from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Jeremy lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Jeremy throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
Jeremy not allowing Rush to control his hands.
Jeremy biding his time, controlling Rush.
Rush is in bad spot here.

Rush trying to control the hands but Jeremy breaks the grip.
Jeremy is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Rush. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
Rush prevents Jeremy from getting a body triangle.

Rush defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Rush rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Rush is not content to let Jeremy control the position.
Rush trying to hold on to Jeremy's head to control him but Jeremy postures up.
Rush tries to get to full guard but Jeremy has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rush makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rush.
Jeremy wants to control from the top but Rush keeps moving.
Rush is looking to stand up but Jeremy isn't so interested in that idea.
Jeremy stopping the sweep attempt from Rush.

Rush has his foot on Jeremy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jeremy works his way back into a safe position though.
Rush looks gassed!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Jeremy has a takedown stuffed.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Rush on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Rush with a lazy takedown attempt

and Jeremy decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rush's guard.

Jeremy wants to pass the guard but Rush is keeping the position.
Rush has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jeremy's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jeremy trying to control the position from guard on top but Rush is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rush wants to sweep but no luck.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ron Jeremy dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Jeremy tries to clinch up.
Rush chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jeremy can pounce on him.
Rush shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Jeremy counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Jeremy is looking for a kimura but Rush is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jeremy to get the leverage.

Jeremy throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Rush wants to get back to full guard.

Jeremy is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rush defends it well.
Rush wants to control but Jeremy is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Jeremy thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jeremy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rush is just riding it out for now. Jeremy eventually gives up the hold.
Rush is looking to improve his position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Rush looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Rush looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jeremy with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Rush tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Rush is keen to just control but Jeremy is a slippery customer.

Jeremy is looking to control Rush's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jeremy avoid being mounted?
Rush trying to control the action but Jeremy is working from the bottom.
Rush controlling the action here.
Rush working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Jeremy moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Jeremy looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rush lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Rush trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Rush trying to control but Jeremy is working from the bottom.

Jeremy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rush doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rush manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Rush clinches up against the cage.
Rush jumps guard but Jeremy stands there with Rush around his waist. Rush gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Rush tries to score a body lock takedown but Jeremy shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Ron Jeremy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of georges Rush.
Rush gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Jeremy.
Rush wants a takedown but no success here.
Rush keeps control of Jeremy as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Rush has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jeremy uses from the top position.

Rush is looking for a triangle but Jeremy pushes his legs off easily.
Rush can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jeremy controls the pace.
Rush wants to sweep but no luck.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Rush is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Jeremy is controlling Rush's trapped leg to prevent Rush from advancing to side control.

Rush is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jeremy is just riding it out for now. Rush eventually gives up the hold.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Jeremy is defending against the submission attempts here by Rush.
Ron Jeremy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Rush winds up and cracks Jeremy with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Rush is nestled in close to Jeremy, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jeremy pushes Rush off looking to stand but Rush dives back in and keeps control.
Rush lands with a punch from half guard.
Jeremy wants to control but Rush is keeping busy.

Jeremy is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Rush pulls his head out easily.
Jeremy is trying to stand back up but Rush is controlling him

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Jeremy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rush swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rush shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jeremy but Jeremy pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rush fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Rush moves into the clinch.
Jeremy tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Rush just leaning against Jeremy, taking a breather.
Jeremy stops a takedown attempt from Rush.

Rush is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Jeremy manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Jeremy pulls Rush in close to prevent any damage.
Rush controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Rush stands up and waves to Jeremy to follow him.
Jeremy tries to clinch

and Rush counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Rush is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Jeremy kicks Rush off and gets to his feet.
Ron Jeremy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jeremy tries to clinch there but Rush circles away.

Rush shoots and misses

Ron Jeremy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of georges Rush.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jeremy is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Jeremy looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Ron Jeremy is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Rush is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Jeremy pulls his head out easily.

I would just about give that final round to georges Rush.
I think Jeremy has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
