Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Adrian Oyelowo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Douglas Muir! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Muir misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Oyelowo.
Muir slips under a jab. Oyelowo has taken the fight to the clinch.
Muir tries to land a knee to the head but Oyelowo blocks with his arms.
Muir tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Oyelowo gets through Muir's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Muir can't find room to land a body shot as Oyelowo controls the action.
The referee calls for Oyelowo to work.
Oyelowo pulls guard effortlessly. Muir wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Oyelowo's closed guard. He's half up but Oyelowo has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Oyelowo pivots and extends the arm, Muir falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Oyelowo! Well done that man!
