Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mr KicksALot (ranked 4351 p4p, 4504 weight class) and Shawn Miles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shawn Miles!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
KicksALot keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
KicksALot throws a head kick that Miles semi-blocks.

It looks like Shawn Miles has been cut.
Miles tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
KicksALot lands a head shot.
KicksALot tries to close the distance and clinch but Miles swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Miles throws out a counter right but KicksALot avoids it with no problem.
KicksALot lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Miles fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

KicksALot gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
KicksALot wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Miles manages to pass to side control.

Miles trying to control the pace.

KicksALot avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Miles.
Miles is keen to just control but KicksALot is a slippery customer.
KicksALot is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miles controlling the pace.
KicksALot regains full guard. Nicely done.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

KicksALot looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Miles passes into side control.
Miles cracks KicksALot with a big elbow.
KicksALot wants to control but Miles postures up.

Miles tries for a kimura but KicksALot is defending well.

Miles working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miles fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Miles misses with the ground and pound.

KicksALot throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
KicksALot fails in his attempt to clinch.
KicksALot throws a series of punches but Miles avoids them all with ease.
Miles tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but KicksALot defends well and Miles ends up having to push KicksALot into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Mr KicksALot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shawn Miles.
Miles pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Miles fails to land the takedown.
Miles avoids the head kick by KicksALot.
Mr KicksALot is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Miles fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. KicksALot sprawls well initially but Miles persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
KicksALot is breathing heavily.
Miles not doing much here.
Miles works his way into full mount!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Miles lands a couple of good shots and KicksALot has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Miles has both hooks in and is working for a choke. KicksALot is in real trouble here. Miles gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, KicksALot is tapping out! Miles wins by rear naked choke!
