Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Mercer (ranked 2137 p4p, 3010 weight class) and Reginald Budgiehandler (ranked 185 p4p, 246 weight class). Mercer's entrance music is Why Can't We Be Friends by WAR. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bobby Mercer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Reginald Budgiehandler!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Mercer.
Mercer takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Mercer goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Budgiehandler! But no joy.
Mercer lands the left hand.
It looks like Reginald Budgiehandler has been cut.
Budgiehandler moves away from the strike by Mercer.
Mercer lands a jab to Budgiehandler's midsection.
A slow jab from Budgiehandler misses its intended target.
A decent looking cross lands there for Mercer.
Mercer misses with a body kick.
Budgiehandler with a hook.
Budgiehandler smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Mercer jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mercer lands with a kick to the temple. Budgiehandler shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Mercer tries to bum rush Budgiehandler with a series of wild strikes but Budgiehandler uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bobby Mercer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mercer throws a jab when Budgiehandler was well out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A cross from Budgiehandler lands.
Budgiehandler rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Mercer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Budgiehandler is rocked!
Look low, kick high! Mercer uses the oldest trick in the book to send Budgiehandler tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Mercer is absolutely delighted - when Budgiehandler wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Bobby Mercer!
Bobby Mercer bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
