The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maui thuds his right hand into Meyer's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Meyer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Maui's waist but Maui gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Meyer off to one side.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Meyer drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Maui gets the underhooks and prevents it.
