The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bess circles away from the clinch attempt.
Phillips has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Bess swinging wildly here.

Phillips closes the distance and clinches.
Bess stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Phillips is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bess to keep the fight standing.
