Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tony Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Melvin Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark wants to clinch up but Carter keeps it at a distance.
Stark looks to land a combination but Carter avoids it well.
Stark misses with a double jab.
Stark is looking to clinch but Carter is avoiding it.
Stark will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Stark throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Carter tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stark swivels and escapes.
No joy there for Stark, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stark closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Stark's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Carter avoids a punch combination nicely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Carter misses with a takedown attempt - Stark sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Tony Stark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Melvin Carter.
Carter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stark as he avoids it easily.

Stark on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stark tries to get out of the position.

Carter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stark's waist but Stark gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carter off to one side.

Stark takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Carter has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Stark is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Carter yanks on the arm and Stark is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Carter.
