Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Nero Vogels (ranked 5875 p4p, 3324 weight class) and Nicolas Djotodia (ranked 512 p4p, 363 weight class). Djotodia has chosen KU LO SA by Oxlade as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Nero Vogels!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Nicolas Djotodia!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Djotodia throws a jab when Vogels was well out of range.
Djotodia takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Djotodia throws an overhand right that lands on Vogels's shoulder, as Vogels tries to avoid the shot.
Djotodia stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Djotodia wants to land a leg kick but Vogels is out of range.

Vogels lunges at Djotodia with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Djotodia's hand.
Djotodia throws out a powerful jab.
Vogels displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Djotodia throws out the jab.

Djotodia tries to work over Vogels's front leg with a kick but Vogels checks it.

Djotodia lands with an uppercut that bounces Vogels off the ropes and back into range.

Djotodia bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Vogels's head.

It looked like Vogels was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Djotodia.
Djotodia scores with the left hand. Vogels knows he should have avoided that one.

Djotodia cracks Vogels with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Vogels is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Vogels is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9, he's up! Wow, he cut that one a bit fine!
It looks like Nero Vogels has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Vogels lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Vogels takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Vogels circles away from the clinch attempt.
Djotodia takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Vogels is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Vogels avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
A bone on bone clash there as Djotodia blocks the leg kick.
Vogels moves into the clinch.
Vogels lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Djotodia backwards.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Djotodia obliges.
Vogels's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Djotodia chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Vogels can pounce on him.
Vogels swings for the body but Djotodia moves out of range.

A nice inside leg kick there by Djotodia. That's going to slow Vogels down.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Vogels throws a sloppy head kick and Djotodia moves out of range easily.
Vogels slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Having scored a knockdown, Nicolas Djotodia should take round 1, putting pressure on his opponene back strong in round 2.

The crowd cheers as Djotodia lands an impressive looking overhand right. Vogels doesn't seem phased though.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Nero Vogels has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Djotodia motions for Vogels to come forward. Djotodia throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
And that's the end of the fight!
Nero Vogels showed his dominance in that final round.
I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Nicolas Djotodia was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
