Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stefano Del Monte! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Antonio Reyes! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Igor Prikhodko and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Del Monte takes a swing at Reyes's ribcage but misses. Reyes takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Reyes is looking to clinch but Del Monte is avoiding it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Reyes looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Del Monte drives through and clinches with Reyes against the cage.
Del Monte lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
It looks like Antonio Reyes has been cut. Del Monte breaks from the clinch.
Reyes misses with a takedown attempt - Del Monte sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Del Monte drops down looking for a counter takedown but Reyes sprawls and moves away. Del Monte scores with a body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reyes closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. With the fighters up against the cage, Reyes throws an elbow but misses. Del Monte lands a damaging elbow. Del Monte escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Reyes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Del Monte sprawls well. Del Monte wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Reyes gets slowly back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reyes is looking to clinch but Del Monte is avoiding it.
Del Monte gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Reyes to score an easy takedown into full guard. Del Monte keeping moving, preventing Reyes from controlling successfully. Del Monte is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Reyes rolls with it to try and escape but Del Monte cranks on the arm and Reyes is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
