Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dick Niaz!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Erasmo Bezerra!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Niaz fails with a takedown attempt.
Bezerra keeps the fight on the outside.
Bezerra looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Niaz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
No luck for Niaz with that takedown attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bezerra thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Niaz's head.

Bezerra is working for a kimura but Niaz is defending it quite comfortably.

Bezerra wants to lay and pray for a moment but Niaz keeps working.
Niaz is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bezerra pulls his head out easily.
Niaz is not content to let Bezerra control the position.

Bezerra takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Niaz wants to control but Bezerra is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Niaz is refusing to be controlled, as Bezerra sits in half guard.
Niaz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bezerra has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Niaz defend it? Bezerra steps over the head and cranks it - Niaz is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Bezerra!
