Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tuur Carlier (ranked 2862 p4p, 2684 weight class) and Kajulik Van Dorner (ranked 325 p4p, 304 weight class). Van Dorner is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Fancy Fan Action. Tuur Carlier could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kajulik Van Dorner's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tuur Carlier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kajulik Van Dorner! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carlier decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Van Dorner is trying to escape back to his feet but Carlier uses the scramble to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carlier wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Van Dorner, who protects the arm well. Van Dorner is trying to improve his position. Carlier tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Carlier has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Carlier is trying to get an arm triangle but Van Dorner is defending well. Van Dorner is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Carlier is controlling him well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Van Dorner wants to control but Carlier postures up. Carlier controlling from side mount. Van Dorner throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Carlier trying to control the position but Van Dorner is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carlier moves into full mount! Van Dorner felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Van Dorner is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Carlier looking to control but Van Dorner is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Carlier looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Carlier has control of Van Dorner's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Van Dorner regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carlier controlling from the full mount. Carlier has hold of Van Dorner's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Van Dorner manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Van Dorner is trying to stand up. Carlier looking to control but Van Dorner is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Van Dorner really wants to buck Carlier off and get back to his feet. Van Dorner is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carlier is working for a guillotine from mount but Van Dorner frees his head quite easily.
Van Dorner is controlling an arm, preventing Carlier from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Carlier looking to secure an arm triangle but Van Dorner defends it well. Carlier has isolated one of Van Dorner's arms. Van Dorner looking to fight him off but Carlier twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
