Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Solomon Snider (ranked 3158 p4p, 3138 weight class) and Sampson Sullivan (ranked 452 p4p, 449 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Solomon Snider! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sampson Sullivan! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Felipe Paraventi and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snider will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Sullivan lands a jab to the head.
Sullivan leaves Snider with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Sullivan throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Snider shoots in looking for a takedown but Sullivan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Snider's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Solomon Snider. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sullivan misses with a head kick.
Snider tried to counter with a leg kick but Sullivan avoided it. Snider has a takedown stuffed. Sullivan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sullivan closes the distance and clinches. Sullivan is looking to take this one to the mat. Sullivan has Snider pressed against the cage, preventing Snider from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Snider has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sullivan uses from the top position. Sullivan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snider bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sullivan's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Snider with a flurry of punches that miss. Sullivan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Sullivan throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Snider trying to control but Sullivan is working from the bottom. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sullivan is on top in guard.
Sullivan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Snider works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sullivan gets to his feet. Snider looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Snider tries to close the distance and clinch but Sullivan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sullivan clinches with his opponent.
Snider has Sullivan pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sullivan manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Sullivan wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Sullivan goes for a takedown in the clinch but Snider prevents it.

Sullivan preventing the sweep. Sullivan is fighting to break Snider's control of his arms but Snider is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Sullivan landing some decent shots from guard. Sullivan throwing strikes but missing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sullivan postures up in Snider's guard and throws a big left but Snider blocks it. Snider knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sullivan on the ground. Snider is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sullivan trying to control the position from guard on top but Snider is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sullivan controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Sullivan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Snider's guard. Sullivan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Snider is looking to escape. Sullivan works his foot free and advances to mount. Sullivan putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Sullivan prevents Snider from getting the reversal. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sullivan trying to control but he's not successful this time. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sullivan sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Sampson Sullivan dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Snider shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sullivan as he jumps to the side. Snider misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A clash of legs there as Sullivan blocks the low kick. Sullivan unleashes a big counter combination but Snider bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Sullivan misses the jab. Snider closes the distance and clinches up with Sullivan, looking for a takedown. Snider pushes Sullivan against the cage but Sullivan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Snider shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sullivan as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Solomon Snider. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sullivan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Snider's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Snider keeping moving, preventing Sullivan from controlling successfully. Sullivan landing some decent shots from guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sullivan passes Snider's left leg - he's now in half guard. Snider is refusing to be controlled, as Sullivan sits in half guard. Snider tries to get to full guard but Sullivan has control of the leg. Snider trying to hold on to Sullivan's head to control him but Sullivan postures up.
Sullivan drops an elbow to the side of Snider's head. Sullivan thows a huge punch but Snider dodges it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sullivan wants to take a breather but Snider is having none of it. Sullivan has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Sullivan landing strikes, looking to finish! Sullivan trying to control but Snider is having none of it. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sullivan cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
BOOM! Sullivan connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Sullivan looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snider wants to hold on but Sullivan pushes him away. Sullivan with the ground and pound from mount. Snider slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Sullivan throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Snider is refusing to be controlled, as Sullivan sits in half guard. Sullivan slows the pace down in half guard. Sullivan wants to pass to mount but Snider is defending the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snider is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Sullivan trying to control the action but Snider is working from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sullivan working Snider over with strikes. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Sampson Sullivan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Snider gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Sullivan counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Snider badly! He tries to strike back but Sullivan puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Snider out cold! Oh man, Snider will never hear the end of this one!
