With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luciano Ocampo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Brendon Carrillo-Moreno! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ocampo rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Carrillo-Moreno counters with a nice double leg into guard. Carrillo-Moreno wants to pass the guard but Ocampo is keeping the position. Carrillo-Moreno preventing the sweep. Carrillo-Moreno has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Ocampo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Carrillo-Moreno throws out the jab. Ocampo stuffs the takedown. A counter left hand to the body from Ocampo misses its target. Nice shot lands for Ocampo. Ocampo misses with an uppercut. Carrillo-Moreno saw that one coming. Carrillo-Moreno tries for a takedown but Ocampo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Carrillo-Moreno. Luciano Ocampo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brendon Carrillo-Moreno. Carrillo-Moreno ducks under a wild hook from Ocampo. Carrillo-Moreno changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Ocampo scores with a decent looking hook. Ocampo cracks Carrillo-Moreno with a good jab. Carrillo-Moreno takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Carrillo-Moreno is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Carrillo-Moreno moves out of range of the strikes. Carrillo-Moreno is still on wobbly legs! Can Ocampo finish him? Ocampo takes a swing at Carrillo-Moreno's ribcage but misses. Carrillo-Moreno takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Carrillo-Moreno seems to have recovered his senses. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Carrillo-Moreno takes a jab right on the kisser.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ocampo shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Ocampo just misses with a punch to the body.
Carrillo-Moreno drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Ocampo defends it well. Carrillo-Moreno closes the distance and clinches up with Ocampo, looking for a takedown. Carrillo-Moreno pushes Ocampo against the cage but Ocampo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ocampo takes a swing at Carrillo-Moreno's ribcage but misses. Carrillo-Moreno fails with the takedown. No luck with that takedown attempt from Carrillo-Moreno. Ocampo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Carrillo-Moreno sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ocampo throws a big shot that misses. Ocampo jabs at Carrillo-Moreno's body. Ocampo slaps away a takedown attempt from Carrillo-Moreno, before circling back to the center of the mat. Carrillo-Moreno shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Carrillo-Moreno was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Ocampo bucks up and tries to throw Carrillo-Moreno off but instead Carrillo-Moreno has got his back! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Carrillo-Moreno wants to control but Ocampo is keeping busy.

Ocampo misses with an uppercut. Ocampo pivots, looking for a leg kick but Carrillo-Moreno is out of range and Ocampo settles back down. Carrillo-Moreno slips under a jab. Ocampo goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Carrillo-Moreno takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Carrillo-Moreno shoots in and gets a takedown into Ocampo's guard. Ocampo wants to hit a sweep here but Carrillo-Moreno passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Ocampo there! Carrillo-Moreno jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Ocampo is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Ocampo and Carrillo-Moreno has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Carrillo-Moreno looking to control but Ocampo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Carrillo-Moreno avoids the attempt from Ocampo to control. Carrillo-Moreno can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ocampo is looking to escape. Carrillo-Moreno wants to finish this one by submission but Ocampo is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Carrillo-Moreno. Carrillo-Moreno is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ocampo can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

But Ocampo has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ocampo! Ocampo looking to pass the guard. Ocampo wants to control from the top but Carrillo-Moreno keeps moving. Carrillo-Moreno pulls Ocampo in close to prevent any damage. Ocampo wants to get up but he can't break Carrillo-Moreno's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Carrillo-Moreno thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Ocampo wants to stand but Carrillo-Moreno is controlling his posture from full guard. Ocampo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Carrillo-Moreno is trying to control the position from the bottom.
