PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Koobley Kon (ranked 5215 p4p, 5420 weight class) and Baloo Bayur (ranked 256 p4p, 280 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Koobley Kon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Baloo Bayur!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.

Bayur closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kon quickly recovers to half guard.
Kon is trying to stand.
Bayur performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bayur prevents Kon from standing back up.

Bayur keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Kon darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Kon looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Bayur is looking to get back to is feet but Kon passes into side control.
Bayur is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kon has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Kon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bayur keeps working.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bayur is pushing Kon's head away, looking to escape. Kon manages to hold on to the position though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Koobley Kon.
Well Bayur has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
