Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dolph Fredriksson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Shute (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fredriksson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is He-Man Theme and Yelling . Shute comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Red Rider - Lunatic Fringe kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dolph Fredriksson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brian Shute! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fredriksson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shute circles away quickly and effectively. Fredriksson waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Shute. A punch combination from Fredriksson misses. Shute moves out of range of the strikes. Shute avoids a punch combination nicely.
Shute defending well as Fredriksson loads up on a big left hand. Shute's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Shute duly obliges. Fredriksson slaps away a takedown attempt from Shute, before circling back to the center of the mat. Dolph Fredriksson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fighters circle momentarily. Shute darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Shute uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Fredriksson misses with a combination
and Shute counters with a shoot takedown. Fredriksson fights it but they end up in guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shute throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fredriksson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Shute has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Fredriksson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Shute landing with the ground and pound. Shute throwing strikes from guard but Fredriksson blocks nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shute prevents Fredriksson from getting back to his feet. Shute chips away with some ground and pound. Shute throws and elbow that misses. Fredriksson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Shute's guard. Nice move by Fredriksson! Fredriksson stopping the sweep attempt from Shute. Shute will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Shute looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fredriksson is one step ahead there. Fredriksson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Shute preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Fredriksson wants to stand and escape but instead Shute has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Shute throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Shute pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fredriksson is keeping the position for now.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Fredriksson pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Shute fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Fredriksson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Shute looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Fredriksson works Shute's body with a nice hook. Shute looks gassed! Shute looks to land a left hand but Fredriksson moved out of range nicely. Dolph Fredriksson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Shute tries for a takedown but Fredriksson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Dolph Fredriksson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Shute. Fredriksson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shute manages to avoid it. Fredriksson cracks a nice hook into Shute's ribs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shute takes one to the chin there. Fredriksson scores with a nice head shot. Fredriksson cracks Shute with a right hand to the side of the head. Fredriksson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Shute takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
A left and a right from Fredriksson both land. Nice combination.
Shute is rocked!
It looks like Brian Shute has been cut. Fredriksson throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Shute stumbling backwards into the cage! Shute bounces back off the cage towards Fredriksson, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Fredriksson lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Fredriksson celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Dolph Fredriksson!
