The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aki throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Savon sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Savon jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Savon throws a head kick but Aki moves out of range.
Savon throws a quick inside leg kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Savon. Aki does a little dance to reset his feet.
Purple Aki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aki tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Savon was well out of range. Poor timing from Aki.
Aki blocks a head kick by Savon.
Savon bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Aki paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Aki cracks Savon with an open hand slap.
Savon really is a fat lump.
Savon looks to score with a jab to the body but Aki is just out of range.
Savon lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Aki throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A decent looking cross lands there for Aki.
Aki throws the left hand but Savon avoids the punch easily.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Aki, as that shot connected.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Savon fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Aki.
Aki dips to his left and cracks Savon with an uppercut!
Aki blocks a head kick by Savon.

Savon lands a slapping body shot.
Savon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Aki with a lazy takedown attempt
and Savon counters with a right hand to the body.
Felix Savon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Savon swings for the body but Aki moves out of range.
Aki misses with a lunging right hand
and Savon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Purple Aki has been cut.
Savon throws a head kick that misses.
Savon misses with a hook. Aki ducked under it nicely.

Aki works the jab nicely.
Savon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Aki.
Felix Savon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Purple Aki.
Savon thumps Aki with a low kick.

Savon moves away from the strike by Aki.

Aki has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Savon fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Savon displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Aki throws out the jab.
Aki on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Savon lands a big head kick that sends Aki tumbling to the mat! Savon takes a step backwards and waves Aki back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Aki is rocked!

That has opened up Purple Aki's cut even more.
Aki drops his hands momentarily and Savon needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Aki just on the top of the head. Aki drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Aki - he's done!
