The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera tries to keep at a distance but Lykmekov has taken the fight into the clinch.
Rivera looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Lykmekov breaks from the clinch.
Lykmekov clinches with his opponent.
Rivera is fighting off a takedown attempt but Lykmekov is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Rivera to the mat. Rivera regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Lykmekov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Lykmekov keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rivera's head.
Lykmekov passes into half guard.
Lykmekov seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
