Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jade Blackshear (ranked 3897 p4p, 4562 weight class) and Pedro Equilibrium (ranked 264 p4p, 284 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jade Blackshear!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pedro Equilibrium!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackshear misses with a double jab
and Equilibrium counters by moving into the clinch.
Blackshear is trying to break the clinch but Equilibrium has him pressed against the cage.
Equilibrium wants the takedown. Blackshear is fighting it off but Equilibrium persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Blackshear's guard against the cage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Equilibrium has gone for a leg lock! Blackshear slips out almost immediately though and dives into Equilibrium's guard.
Equilibrium looking for a guillotine here but Blackshear defends easily.
Blackshear would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Equilibrium manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Blackshear manages to get himself to full guard.
Equilibrium postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Equilibrium thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Equilibrium is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Blackshear is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Blackshear has escaped and now he's on top!
Equilibrium looking for a sweep. Not yet Equilibrium, not yet.
Equilibrium is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Equilibrium has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Blackshear can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Equilibrium is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Blackshear defends well.

Blackshear knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Equilibrium on the ground.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Equilibrium had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Blackshear defends it easily.
Equilibrium is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Blackshear is looking to stand up but Equilibrium won't let him.

Equilibrium has his foot on Blackshear's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Blackshear works his way back into a safe position though.
Equilibrium is working an open guard so Blackshear takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Blackshear swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Blackshear misses with a wild combination.
Equilibrium's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Blackshear connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Equilibrium scrambles back to his feet.

and Equilibrium counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Equilibrium.
Blackshear wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Blackshear is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Equilibrium has picked Blackshear up - he's going for a ride! Equilibrium dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Blackshear tries to kick Equilibrium off but Equilibrium keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Equilibrium is looking to advance position but Blackshear won't allow it.
Equilibrium is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Blackshear doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Equilibrium.
Blackshear tries to kick Equilibrium off but Equilibrium keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Equilibrium wants to work for an arm triangle but Blackshear is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Equilibrium is working for a submission of some sort.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A decent looking cross lands there for Blackshear.
Equilibrium shoots in for a double leg but Blackshear sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Blackshear lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Equilibrium circles away quickly and effectively.
Equilibrium shoots in looking for a takedown. Blackshear tries to sprawl out of it but Equilibrium keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Blackshear manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Blackshear throws a head kick that misses.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Blackshear enables Equilibrium to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Blackshear manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Equilibrium stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blackshear swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Equilibrium drops back, looking for a kneebar! Blackshear looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Blackshear looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Blackshear!
Blackshear wants to stand but Equilibrium has his arm trapped.
Equilibrium is looking for a sweep.

Blackshear trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Blackshear decides to stand up, so the ref orders Equilibrium to his feet.

Jade Blackshear has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Equilibrium.

Blackshear lands with a straight right. Equilibrium didn't see that one coming.
Equilibrium drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Equilibrium working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Equilibrium is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Blackshear is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Equilibrium is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Blackshear is trying to escape and Equilibrium transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Blackshear is forced to tap! Nice work there by Equilibrium! Very nice indeed!
