Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raykuza Maui (ranked 2065 p4p, 3411 weight class) and Jerome Steel (ranked 102 p4p, 152 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 24 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Raykuza Maui! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 32 - 38 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jerome Steel! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maui moves out of range as Steel strikes. A nice leg kick lands there from Steel. Maui keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Steel. Jerome Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Steel works the jab nicely.
It looks like Raykuza Maui has been cut. Maui avoids the head kick by Steel.
Maui is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Steel connects with a single shot there. Steel fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Maui looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Steel slips a straight right by Maui. Maui has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Steel. Maui moves away from the strike by Steel. Steel sizes up Maui with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Steel throws a sloppy head kick and Maui moves out of range easily. Steel tests Maui's chin there with a solid looking shot. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Maui displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Steel throws out the jab. Steel's coach down at DF Fitnesscentrum was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Steel's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Steel pivots, looking for a leg kick but Maui is out of range and Steel settles back down. Maui blocks a head kick by Steel.

That's one minute gone in the round. Steel misses with a left hand and Maui cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Steel throws a hook but Maui blocks it. Steel takes a body punch but keeps moving. Steel lands with a thumping leg kick.
Maui has managed to clinch.
Maui blocks a body shot from Steel. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Maui creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. A right handed body shot lands from Maui.
Maui manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Maui has a couple of punches blocked by Steel.
Maui misses with a punch on the inside.
Steel tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Maui's elbow. Maui misses with some punches.
Maui lands a left hand that snaps the head of Steel backwards. Steel misses with a body punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steel tries to work over Maui's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. A short left from Maui. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Maui blocking some punches.

Steel tries to throw a body punch but Maui avoids it by throwing Steel back against the cage. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Maui. Maui swings wildly with an uppercut but Steel uses good head movement to avoid it. Steel doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Steel tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Maui just stands there and leans against the cage. Maui tries to stall but Steel uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Steel swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Maui fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Steel with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Maui blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Maui is pushing Steel up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Maui's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steel lands a body punch. Maui is breathing heavily. Maui misses with a hook from the clinch. Steel tries to throw a body punch but Maui avoids it by throwing Steel back against the cage. Steel gets through Maui's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Maui throws a punch but it's blocked by Steel. Maui escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Maui on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Steel. Steel obviously looking to wear him down.
Steel stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Steel tests Maui's chin there with a solid looking shot. Steel pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Maui avoids the head kick by Steel.
Steel lands with a hook. Maui tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Steel slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Maui has closed the distance and engaged Steel in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Steel lands an uppercut. Steel can't find room to land a body shot as Maui controls the action.
Maui swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Steel blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Maui misses with the head strike.
Maui lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Steel backwards. Steel struggles to land a body shot inside as Maui controls his hands.
The referee is keeping an eye on Steel - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Steel lands a shot to the body. Steel scores with a nice hook to the head. Steel lands a nice shot to the body. Steel can't find room to land a body shot as Maui controls the action.
Steel misses with a hook to the ribs.
Steel misses with a short punch on the inside. Maui blocking some punches.
Steel misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Steel throws a head punch that misses. Maui taking a breather. Maui lands a shoulder strike. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jerome Steel dominated that round. The cut man is working on Raykuza Maui's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Maui takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Steel wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Maui fails in his attempt to clinch. Steel misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Steel.
Steel connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Maui's hands. Steel fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Maui to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Maui looks to clinch but Steel throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Maui taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Jerome Steel! An out of breath Jerome Steel thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career. Raykuza Maui was interviewed post fight and said 'There's a reason this guy is a legend, shit like that. There's no shame in losing to that guy. I had fun, i'm sure he did too and so did the fans. I love y'all. I'll be back.'.
