Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Albertson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Allen!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Albertson ducks under a wild hook from Allen.
Allen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Allen stuffs the takedown.
Allen swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Allen catches Albertson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

It looks like John Albertson has been cut.
Albertson shoots in for a takedown but Allen shows good takedown defense.
Allen looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Albertson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Allen tries to avoid it but Albertson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Allen to the ground. Allen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Albertson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Albertson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Allen looks to land a right hand but Albertson moved out of range.
Albertson goes for a double leg but Allen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Allen continues to drive forward.
A little jabbing left from Allen on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Albertson tries to pull guard but Allen holds him up against the cage and eventually Albertson drops back down to his feet.
Albertson is trying to force a seperation but Allen has the dominant position.

Allen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Albertson moves out of range of the strikes.
Allen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Allen wants it to stay on the feet.
It seemed like Allen was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Allen throws out a loose jab but Albertson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Albertson with a lazy takedown attempt
and Allen counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Albertson out cold! What a finish! Allen is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jimmy Allen!
