Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Dos Anjos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tefy Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machado has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Tefy Machado will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tefy Machado! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Matheus Silva and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dos Anjos swats away the attempt to clinch by Machado. Dos Anjos changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Machado looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Dos Anjos thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Dos Anjos takes a little break here. Machado wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Dos Anjos is breathing heavily. A control attempt from Machado but he's now mounted! Dos Anjos looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Dos Anjos throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Machado is squirming around, avoiding Dos Anjos's attempts to control the action. Machado tries to hold on but Dos Anjos postures up. Machado wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Machado is looking to get to half guard. Machado is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. A nice elbow there by Dos Anjos. Dos Anjos is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Machado can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Machado is trying desperately to improve position. Dos Anjos is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Machado can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Machado wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dos Anjos is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Machado is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Machado flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Dos Anjos anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Machado and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Dos Anjos slips an arm under Machado chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Dos Anjos has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Dos Anjos is squeezing on Machado like an anaconda would it's prey. Machado fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
