Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Cheekbreaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ronald Cheekbreaker will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Austin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ronald Cheekbreaker!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Austin looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Austin shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Austin gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Austin slips a jab from Cheekbreaker.
Austin staying out of range there.
Austin moves out of range as Cheekbreaker strikes.
Austin throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cheekbreaker stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Cheekbreaker avoids the head kick by Austin.

Austin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Austin controlling the action here.

Austin stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Austin scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Austin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Austin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cheekbreaker.

Cheekbreaker fails to land with a series of punches.

No joy there for Cheekbreaker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Austin gets the takedown into side control.
Austin controlling the position.
Austin tries to advance position but instead Cheekbreaker slips a leg back in to half guard.

Austin is controlling the pace.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Austin wants to free his trapped foot but Cheekbreaker is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Austin throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Cheekbreaker tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Austin takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Cheekbreaker pushes Austin off looking to stand but Austin dives back in and keeps control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Austin is trying to work for a kimura but Cheekbreaker is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Austin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Cheekbreaker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cheekbreaker wants to get back to his feet but Austin is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Austin stands up from Cheekbreaker's guard - Austin perhaps looking for a knockout.
Austin shoots for a double leg takedown but Cheekbreaker sprawls well. He's pushed Austin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Austin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cheekbreaker uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Cheekbreaker.
Cheekbreaker moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Steve Austin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Cheekbreaker swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Austin counters with a one-two to the body.
Cheekbreaker misses the jab.
Cheekbreaker lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Cheekbreaker throws the kick towards the body but Austin avoids it.
Cheekbreaker throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Austin sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Cheekbreaker checks the leg kick.
Cheekbreaker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Austin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Austin moves out of range of the strikes.
Cheekbreaker looks to score with a jab to the body but Austin is just out of range.
Cheekbreaker looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Cheekbreaker throws a hook but Austin blocks it.

Austin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Austin lands in his opponent's guard.
Cheekbreaker is looking to stand up but Austin isn't so interested in that idea.
Austin is pushing down on Cheekbreaker's leg trying to pass to half guard. Cheekbreaker is fighting to maintain full guard but Austin has managed to sneak the leg through.

Austin trying to mount his opponent but Cheekbreaker defends it.

Austin frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Cheekbreaker is desperately trying to improve his position but Austin has a good base and remains in mount.
Cheekbreaker is squirming around, avoiding Austin's attempts to control the action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ronald Cheekbreaker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Danga de danga de dang - Cheekbreaker scores with a four punch combination!

Austin shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Austin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cheekbreaker is just riding it out for now. Austin eventually gives up the hold.
Cheekbreaker is trying to stand up here but Austin is controlling him well.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cheekbreaker has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Austin is working away from the top position though.
Austin content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Austin has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Cheekbreaker tries to kick Austin off but Austin keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Still in half guard, Austin seems content to control.
Cheekbreaker pushes Austin off looking to stand but Austin dives back in and keeps control.

Austin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Cheekbreaker looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Cheekbreaker trying to hold on to Austin's head to control him but Austin postures up.
Austin lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Steve Austin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Austin tries to pass to full mount but Cheekbreaker defends it.
Austin content to control rather than advance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Austin looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Austin missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Cheekbreaker throws a head kick that misses.
Austin avoids the body shot from Cheekbreaker.

Austin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cheekbreaker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Austin remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Cheekbreaker dodges the ground and pound from Austin.

Steve Austin showed his dominance in that final round.
