Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Caiden Banks (ranked 24864 p4p, 4548 weight class) and Kadyn Mercer (ranked 310 p4p, 266 weight class). Caiden Banks had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 137.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Caiden Banks could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kadyn Mercer's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Caiden Banks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kadyn Mercer!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks moves into the clinch.
Mercer drags the fight down to the ground.
Banks tries to free his leg and advance position but Mercer is retaining full guard.
Mercer looking for a guillotine here but Banks defends easily.
Mercer has his foot on Banks's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Banks works his way back into a safe position though.
Banks content to stall in guard here.
Banks's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Banks sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mercer's guard.
Banks prevents Mercer from improving his position.
Mercer is trying to maintain the position but Banks is very close to passing his half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
