And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rasmus Karhu!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Joseph Jones and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon ducks under a wild hook from Karhu.
Gordon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Karhu on the wrong end of a nice jab.
That kick from Gordon tenderised Karhu's leg. Karhu is trying to keep his angry face on.
Gordon misses the shot to the body.
Nice defenses there by Karhu.
Gordon takes one on the chin but seems OK.

It looks like Lamar Gordon has been cut.
Gordon throws a good cross that connects.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Karhu drops his hands momentarily and Gordon takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Gordon looks to land a left hand but Karhu moved out of range nicely.
Gordon looks to score with a jab to the body but Karhu is just out of range.
A little jabbing left from Karhu on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Gordon looks to land a body kick but Karhu moved away.
Karhu looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

and Gordon counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Karhu scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
We've been told by Gordon's head coaches at League of Shadows MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

and Karhu counters with a nice leg kick.
Gordon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Karhu manages to avoid it.
Karhu lands a lovely overhand right.
Gordon feints a jab promting Karhu to slip. Gordon then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Karhu slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Rasmus Karhu has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gordon throws a poor cross that misses
and Karhu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gordon looks to throw the jab but Karhu is out of range.
Gordon misses with a straight left.
Karhu swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Gordon cracks Karhu with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Karhu looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Gordon finish him?

Karhu is rocked!
Gordon scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Karhu is still on wobbly legs! Can Gordon finish him?
Gordon darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Karhu's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Gordon before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lamar Gordon!
A relieved looking Lamar Gordon thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
