Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brownie Anderson (ranked 1538 p4p, 1602 weight class) and Terry Silver (ranked 213 p4p, 224 weight class). Terry Silver has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brownie Anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Terry Silver! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silver fails in his attempt to clinch. Silver connects with a body shot. Terry Silver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Oooh a lovely combination from Silver sends Anderson down but not out. Silver dives into side control looking to finish.
It looks like Brownie Anderson has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! You can see the frustration on Anderson's face as Silver controls the position. Anderson is looking to regain half guard here but Silver keeps moving and retains side control. Silver works to advance to full mount. Anderson defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Anderson's coaches at Gumburcules Gym have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Silver content just to control the position here. Let's hope that Silver has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silver's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Anderson is squirming around, avoiding Silver's attempts to control the action. Silver sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Silver thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Silver controlling the pace for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Silver trying to control but Anderson is having none of it. Anderson is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Silver tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Anderson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson is looking to get to half guard. Anderson wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Silver really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anderson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Silver controlling the position easily from mount. Silver looking to control but Anderson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Silver content just to control the position here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Silver trying to control but he's not successful this time. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Terry Silver dominated that round. The cut man is working on Brownie Anderson's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Anderson moves away from the strike by Silver. Silver tries to close the distance and clinch but Anderson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Silver looks to land a body kick but Anderson moved away. Silver takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Silver lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Anderson throws a right and a left that Silver avoids nicely. A leg kick checked by Anderson. Anderson throws a big counter combination but Silver scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Silver misses with a body kick. Silver tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anderson swats him away and circles back towards the center. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silver throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Silver pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Silver lands a nice hook to Anderson's body. Anderson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Anderson lands with a right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silver connects with a crisp jab. Silver fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Silver has closed the distance and engaged Anderson in a clinch.
Anderson blocks a body shot from Silver. Silver lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Anderson or not. Silver has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Silver is pressed up against the cage. Anderson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Silver down to the mat. Silver avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Anderson tries for a takedown but Silver circles away easily and Silver counters with a lovely shot to the body. Anderson shoots in for a takedown but Silver shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brownie Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silver jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Silver thuds a left hand into Anderson's body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Anderson avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silver digs a good body shot into Anderson's ribs. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Anderson misses with a double jab.
Silver throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Brownie Anderson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Anderson throws a nice looking combination but Silver bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Terry Silver is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Anderson misses with a few strikes there.
Silver waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Anderson. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Anderson to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Anderson is rocked! Anderson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Silver controls the pace. Oh Anderson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Silver is continuing to stall. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Silver. Anderson seems to have got his legs back now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silver stops Anderson from standing up. Anderson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Silver trying to control but Anderson is working from the bottom. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Anderson moves out of range as Silver strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Silver misses with an uppercut. Anderson saw that one coming. Anderson slips a jab and a cross from Silver.
As Silver looks to move away, Anderson throws a big counter combo but Silver just gets out of the way. Anderson looks for a takedown but Silver sprawls well. Anderson throws a low kick but Silver moves out of range easily. A nice side step and Silver releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Silver misses with a body shot.
Anderson is looking to chop away at Silver's legs. Silver finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Silver just misses with a punch to the body.
Anderson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Silver.
Silver looks to score with a jab to the body but Anderson is just out of range. Silver misses with a wild combination.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Terry Silver showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Brownie Anderson's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! Anderson fails with a takedown attempt. Anderson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Silver fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Silver has closed the distance and engaged Anderson in a clinch.
Silver pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A telegraphed right hand from Silver misses the target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anderson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Silver counters with a left and a right that stings Anderson. Silver is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Anderson rather than just go for the knockout. Silver ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Anderson throws a right hand that misses
and Silver counters with a stiff right hand. BOOM! Silver lands a beautiful left hook that drops Anderson. Anderson tries to recover but Silver is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Anderson lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
