The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chandler drives through with a takedown into guard.
Chandler postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Shawty pulls Chandler in close to his closed guard and prevents Chandler from doing any damage or advancing position.
Chandler trying to control the position from guard on top but Shawty is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Chandler throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Shawty works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Shawty is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Shawty trying to pass the guard but Chandler defending well.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Shawty working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Shawty is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Chandler!
Shawty prevents Chandler from getting the reversal.
Chandler gets back to half guard.
Shawty is pressing down on Chandler's thigh, looking to free his foot. Chandler is holding on for now.
Shawty looks winded!

Chandler gets back to full guard.
Shawty trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Shawty stands and throws Chandler's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Chandler prevents Shawty from improving position.
Chandler is trying to improve his position.
Chandler striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Chandler wants to control but Shawty postures up.
Chandler is trying to get back to half guard.

Shawty is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Chandler has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Chandler sneaks back into half guard.

Shawty is looking to advance position but Chandler won't allow it.
Chandler tries to kick Shawty off but Shawty keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Chandler has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Shawty is working away from the top position though.
Shawty is pressing down on Chandler's thigh, looking to free his foot. Chandler is holding on for now.

Shawty looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Chandler moves into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chandler has his feet on Shawty's thighs here. He's pushed Shawty off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Shawty screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
