Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Fyodor Pending (ranked 5786 p4p, 2236 weight class) and Futoshi Matsunaga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pending has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 60 - 183 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fyodor Pending!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 48 - 29 - 2, fighting out of New York, Futoshi Matsunaga!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matsunaga moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Pending looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Matsunaga lands a jab.
Matsunaga shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Pending eats them both and turns towards Matsunaga to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Matsunaga lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Matsunaga connects with a good right hand that stumbles Pending. Pending circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Pending shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Good exchange - Matsunaga coming out on top.
Matsunaga scores with a three punch combo!
Pending could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Matsunaga dips to his left and cracks Pending with an uppercut!
Matsunaga lands with a right hand.
Matsunaga throws a good cross that connects.
Pending is rocked!
A jab from Matsunaga does it's job there.
Oh Pending is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Matsunaga scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Matsunaga sizes up Pending with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Matsunaga throws an overhand right that drops Pending like a sack of potatoes! Matsunaga dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Futoshi Matsunaga!
