Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Skye Breeze (ranked 3221 p4p, 2417 weight class) and Mirko Zoccato (ranked 220 p4p, 177 weight class). Mirko Zoccato has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Skye Breeze! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mirko Zoccato! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Illya Tyunina and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zoccato ducks under a wild hook from Breeze. Zoccato appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Zoccato fails with the takedown. We've been told by Breeze's head coaches at Canucks Combat Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Zoccato shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Breeze as he avoids it easily. Breeze throwing a counter right hand but Zoccato manages to avoid it. Zoccato fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Breeze avoids it really well and circles away. An attempted straight right counter from Breeze misses the target. Zoccato has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Breeze is landing a low percentage of strikes. Skye Breeze has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mirko Zoccato. Breeze keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Breeze lands a lovely overhand right. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zoccato fails miserably with a takedown attempt. A little feinted left hand from Breeze on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Breeze's corner calls for a 1-2. Breeze obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zoccato with a lazy takedown attempt and Zoccato takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Zoccato looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Breeze is concentrating on defense, preventing Zoccato from advancing position. Zoccato throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Zoccato thows a huge punch but Breeze dodges it nicely.
Breeze is trying to control but can't.
Zoccato is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Breeze defends it well. Zoccato is looking for a kimura here.

No, Breeze has managed to free his arm - good work. Breeze might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Zoccato seems to be looking for submissions.

Zoccato missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Breeze is in trouble now - Zoccato has advanced to mount! Breeze is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Zoccato swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Breeze is now in Zoccato's guard. A big mistake from Zoccato there, giving up the dominant position! Zoccato has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Breeze should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Zoccato has tightened it up now! Breeze should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
