The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Small tries for a takedown but Hopkins sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Hopkins steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Small.
Hopkins lands a jab to Small's midsection.
Small is breathing heavily.
Hopkins lands a body shot.
Hopkins ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Hopkins connects with a body shot that sends Small's belly button to the back.

Hopkins sends Small crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Hopkins is motioning to the referee to let Small up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Small leaves his chin hanging out and Hopkins seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Small crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
