Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Manson Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rubens Maciel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Manson Dixon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rubens Maciel! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dixon throws a right hand that Maciel ducks under and follows up with a left that Maciel also avoids with ease. Dixon throws a series of punches but Maciel avoids them all with ease. Maciel shoots in looking for a takedown. Dixon tries to sprawl out of it but Maciel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dixon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Maciel fails with the takedown. No joy there for Dixon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dixon lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Dixon.
It looks like Rubens Maciel has been cut. No luck for Maciel with that takedown attempt. Manson Dixon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rubens Maciel. Maciel misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Horrible takedown by Maciel or perhaps it was just good defense by Dixon which made him look bad. Dixon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Maciel moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Dixon throws a one two combo.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Dixon!
Dixon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Maciel counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dixon wants to control but Maciel is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dixon desperately trying to maintain half guard. Dixon looks like he's trying to stand up.
Maciel is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dixon doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Maciel. Dixon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Maciel on the ground. Maciel is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dixon sees it coming and defends easily. Maciel looks gassed! Maciel prevents Dixon from improving his position. Maciel wants to work for an arm triangle but Dixon is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Maciel has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Maciel there as he acknowledges the shot. Maciel looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Maciel avoids the head kick by Dixon.
Dixon tries to bum rush Maciel with a series of wild strikes but Maciel uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Dixon shoots in for a double leg but Maciel sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A combination from Dixon does no damage. Maciel with a poor takedown and Dixon counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Dixon looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Dixon looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Dixon is trying to control. Maciel wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maciel trying to control from the bottom.
Maciel tries to get to full guard but Dixon has control of the leg. Dixon wants to stand up but Maciel has a hold of him and won't allow it. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Dixon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Maciel keeps working. Maciel is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Dixon pulls his head out easily.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Maciel misses with a takedown and Dixon counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Dixon clinches up with Maciel and pushes him back against the cage. Dixon breaks the clinch.
Dixon looks to land a combination but Maciel avoids it well. Maciel has his takedown stuffed and Dixon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dixon jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Maciel closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dixon circles away. Dixon closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Maciel to the mat! Maciel manages to get full guard. Maciel looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Dixon passes into side control.
Maciel bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Maciel shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Dixon connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Dixon misses with a double jab.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Maciel shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Dixon counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Maciel tries to close the distance and clinch but Dixon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Maciel fails with the takedown. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Manson Dixon dominated that round. The cut man is working on Rubens Maciel's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Dixon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Dixon trying to control the action but Maciel is working from the bottom. Maciel manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Maciel looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Maciel actively working from the bottom here. Dixon trying to control the pace. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Maciel looking for submissions off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dixon performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Dixon decides to stand up. Dixon circles away from the clinch attempt and Dixon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Manson Dixon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dixon throws a series of punches but Maciel moves out of range. Dixon tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Maciel swivels and escapes. Maciel closes the distance but Dixon moves to the side and Dixon counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Maciel shoots for a double leg takedown but Dixon sprawls well. He's pushed Maciel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Oooh a big shot gets through from Dixon. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

Dixon seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Maciel has gone for a leg lock! Dixon slips out almost immediately though and dives into Maciel's guard. Dixon would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maciel escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dixon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Maciel looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Dixon decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Dixon throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Maciel sees it coming and avoids it easily. Dixon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Maciel. Maciel moves into full mount! Dixon is squirming around, avoiding Maciel's attempts to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Maciel working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Dixon is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Maciel is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Dixon can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Maciel has control of Dixon's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dixon regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Rubens Maciel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Rubens Maciel's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Dixon throws a right and a left that Maciel avoids nicely. Dixon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Maciel tries to avoid it but Dixon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Maciel to the ground. Maciel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Maciel will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Dixon clinches. Maciel is trying to maintain a safe position but Dixon gets an underhook and turns Maciel into the cage. Maciel drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dixon pulls guard effortlessly. Dixon looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Maciel drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Dixon dives on top into guard. Dixon content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dixon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Maciel is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Dixon wants to control from the top but Maciel keeps moving. Dixon wanted to stand there but Maciel had control of the position. Manson Dixon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dixon avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dixon's corner is telling him to maintain position. Maciel has his foot on Dixon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dixon works his way back into a safe position though. Maciel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dixon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dixon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Maciel is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Maciel lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Dixon! Maciel is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Dixon is surviving well by controlling Maciel's body position as best he can. Maciel working for a guillotine from mount but Dixon is in no mood to give up. Dixon really wants to buck Maciel off and get back to his feet. Maciel goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Dixon turns into him and now he's in Maciel's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Rubens Maciel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Maciel has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
