Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Huey Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marshall Mathers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mathers comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Eminem - Forever kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Huey Dixon had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Huey Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marshall Mathers!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon fails with a takedown attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dixon cracks Mathers with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Mathers wants to improve his position but Dixon is controlling well.

Marshall Mathers dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Dixon wants to control but Mathers is having none of it.

Dixon has given up his back here. Will Mathers look for the submission or keep pounding away?

Mathers is persistently looking for the submission but Dixon is defending it well.

Mathers is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Dixon is defending well though. Mathers let's go of the attempt for now.

Dixon is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Mathers gets his way!

Marshall Mathers showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Dixon tries to clinch but Mathers is having none of it.
Dixon misses with a kick to the body.
Mathers fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dixon gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Mathers counters with a one-two to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dixon misses with a takedown attempt - Mathers sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Mathers rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dixon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Dixon closes the distance and clinches.
Mathers has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dixon avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Mathers tries to free his leg and advance position but Dixon is retaining full guard.

Dixon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mathers gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Mathers stands and throws Dixon's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Mathers thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Dixon tries to bench press Mathers off him but Mathers keeps the position.
Dixon is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mathers tries to pass to full mount but Dixon defends it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
