Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johannes Balrog (ranked 4164 p4p, 4281 weight class) and Aryan Deshpande (ranked 407 p4p, 421 weight class). Deshpande has chosen Ready to Kill as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johannes Balrog! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aryan Deshpande! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Balrog shoots in and bounces Deshpande off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Balrog in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Deshpande is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Balrog drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Balrog jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Balrog is looking to work some ground and pound but Deshpande has wrist control. Deshpande trying to keep a closed guard but Balrog is proving a slippery customer.
Deshpande really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Balrog. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Balrog engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Deshpande can't keep his opponent in guard - Balrog advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Balrog is looking for a kimura but Deshpande is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Balrog to get the leverage. Balrog is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Deshpande doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Balrog. Deshpande on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Balrog is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Balrog uses his free foot to push down on Deshpande's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Deshpande.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Balrog is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Deshpande can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Balrog takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Balrog has control of Deshpande's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Deshpande regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Balrog working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Deshpande looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Balrog! Submission of the night perhaps?
