Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Akhmat Danzakov!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danzakov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Pande on his heels. He'll look to pass Pande's guard now, I'm sure.
Pande manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Danzakov manages to get himself to full guard.
Danzakov has his foot on Pande's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pande works his way back into a safe position though.
Pande controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Pande avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Danzakov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pande defends well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Danzakov is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Pande has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Pande!

Danzakov can't keep his opponent in guard - Pande advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Pande has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Pande's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Danzakov wants to improve his position but Pande is controlling well.
Still in half guard, Pande seems content to control.
Pande is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Danzakov defends it well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Pande wants to stand up but Danzakov has a hold of him and won't allow it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Danzakov can do anything to dispel that myth.
