The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marks is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Marks manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Equilibrium keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Equilibrium drops back, looking for a kneebar! Marks looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Marks looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Marks!

Equilibrium is looking to regain half guard here but Marks keeps moving and retains side control.
Marks has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Equilibrium shoots in and drives through. Marks sprawls well.
Marks feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Marks wants to stand but Equilibrium has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Marks must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Equilibrium escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Marks gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Marks is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Equilibrium has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Marks is looking to defend but Equilibrium has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Marks! Equilibrium pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Marks taps out and this one is all over!
