Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Agbay Amiga (ranked 23498 p4p, 23791 weight class) and Helen Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Agbay Amiga has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Amiga shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Amiga showed some decent athleticism there.
Amiga wants to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salvacion desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Amiga wants to stand up but Salvacion has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Salvacion has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Amiga is working away from the top position though.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Amiga shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Amiga was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Amiga wants to stand but Salvacion has his arm trapped.

Amiga decides to stand back up.
Amiga changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Salvacion tries to avoid it but Amiga manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Salvacion to the ground. Salvacion escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Salvacion dives in and grabs Amiga's left leg, looking for a takedown. Amiga pushes down on Salvacion's head and hops out.
Amiga drops down looking for a counter takedown but Salvacion sprawls and moves away.

Amiga shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Salvacion as he jumps to the side.
Salvacion flicks out a counter leg kick but Amiga steps away.

Salvacion drives through with a takedown into Amiga's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Salvacion is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Salvacion is trying to hold Amiga in close to prevent damage but Amiga has managed to pass into half guard.
Amiga wants to stand up but Salvacion has a hold of him and won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Amiga fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Salvacion to the ground. Amiga is now in Salvacion's guard.
